Real estate can be a very lucrative field, but it can also be very challenging, especially when it comes to attracting clients. One study by the National Association of Realtors found that 73 percent of buyers only interview one real estate agent when shopping for a new home. Finding new clients is clearly difficult for most real estate agents, but modern marketing tips can make it a little bit easier.

Creating a Website

First of all, any modern realtor should have their own website. Most prospective home buyers turn to the Internet to find realtors or properties, and a well-designed website can show them what you have to offer. This includes listings, a mortgage calculator for potential buyers, reviews from satisfied clients, and a blog to keep visitors updated on changes to your business. This blog should be updated frequently since it serves both as a source of news and a great way to improve your site’s rankings on Google and other search engines.

Employ Virtual Stagings

If you want to give buyers a better idea of what they can expect from a property, you can always use a virtual staging website to give buyers virtual tours. It’s the next best thing to see a property in person, especially now that social distancing is so crucial.

Partner with Local Businesses

Coffee shops, clothing boutiques, home decor showrooms, and other local businesses are great for advertising your own business. You should at the very least post flyers and business cards on bulletin boards whenever possible, but you can also partner with these businesses for open houses. They can set up pop-up shops in different rooms of a property to encourage potential clients to explore every room, or they can simply promote themselves at open houses to give people an idea of what businesses are in the neighborhood.

Use Drones to Take Photos

Drones are now inexpensive and versatile enough to be able to take sweeping photos of homes and their surrounding landscape that you can put in listings and on your website. You can even use drones to take videos of properties if you really want to spice up your listings and virtual showings.

These are just a handful of ways that you can market your real estate business to clients. Keep all of these tips in mind, and always look for new ways to market your business, whether that means word-of-mouth advertising or spicing up your website and social media posts.
